Nutrition
Nutrition is the study of how food and drink affect our bodies—and the daily choices we make about what to eat have a powerful impact on our health, energy, and ability to live life to the fullest. Good nutrition means giving our bodies the essential nutrients they need from healthy foods, in the right combinations, to function at their best.
Poor nutrition can weaken our bodies, contribute to sickness, and increase the risk of chronic disease by damaging our cells. On the other hand, nourishing foods can strengthen our immune system, protect our cells, and give us vibrant energy to thrive.
Our bodies are designed to heal and renew themselves when given the right fuel. By choosing wholesome, nutrient-rich foods, we can activate our bodies’ natural strength, improve our happiness and focus, and step fully into our potential. I am here to guide others toward these choices so they can live healthier, longer, and with their greater purpose.
It was a late night, after a long day, helping our children with Cerebral palsy, enjoy their time on the beach, when we saw this investigative report. This is where our journey began, wanting to understand nutrition and how it effects our cells and healing:

Candy Monster, written by Brian and Kristin Anderson and illustrated by Anna Merrill, is a playful yet powerful reminder that what we eat shapes who we are. With humor and vibrant art, the story shows that while treats can be enjoyed, our bodies thrive when we fuel them with nourishing foods. Readers of all ages will discover that balance is the key to feeling strong, healthy, and ready for life’s adventures. Both fun and thought-provoking, this book encourages us to think carefully about what we put into our bodies and to choose a balanced diet that helps us be our very best.
